eBooks & Audiobooks
Applewild students have eBook and audiobook options available through two school subscriptions. There are also many options available from your public library. Mrs. Wong is happy to meet with you to discuss how to make the most of all available modes of reading.
All Applewild students now have access to a collection of ebooks and audiobooks, curated by the Massachusetts Library system specifically for schools. You may be familiar with Overdrive or Libby, the most common eBook an audiobook platform for public libraries. The same technology has been harnessed to help provide student access to ebooks and audiobooks in the classroom and at home. Watch the video below to find out more.
To access the collection, you will need to identify yourself as an Applewild student and then use your Google ID. If you are in grades K-2, your login information will be sent home by September, 20th.
Below, please find some directions for accessing the collection from many different types of devices. If you run into technical problems, please feel free to email Mrs. Wong or checkout suggestions at help.overdrive.com.
Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
You will use the Overdrive App to access books from our collection to read on your Kindle. If you have a Kindle Fire you can listen to audiobooks as well.
